Show Notes

  • Great discussion. I’m going to give M2 another shot. Alan’s point about quality and forward compatibility are important to my business.

    • Kalen Jordan

Good to hear!! Also – now we know who babyfacedavid is!!!! Thanks for the review.

      • I’m looking forward to MageTalk’s feedback from Imagine, since I was not able to make it out this year.

  • Interestingly, I just met someone who is leaving Magento for a “hosted” solution who said…Magento is too focused on Enterprise. I guess since I’m still working mostly on CE sites in 1.9 I have yet to run into that wall.

    • Kalen Jordan

Interesting! I can see how some people would definitely think that.

    • Yeah this stigma is not one that will go away with the current trajectory for Magento. We’ll have to wait and see how the market accepts Magento 2 – right now the developer experience is not a great one. Admittedly, the early Magento 1 devex wasn’t great, either. We have to wait and see.

    • I’ve actually been avoiding M2 right now. The thought was to go full steam ahead Q2 next near.
